Virtual care

Virtual appointments when distance or schedule makes in-person difficult.

Idaho Regenerative Medicine (IRM) offers telehealth visits for new patient consults, follow-ups, care planning, lab reviews, and ongoing support — so you can connect with Dr. Walton and the IRM team from home.

Visit types

When virtual appointments make sense.

New patients

Get to Know You Consult

A relationship-first conversation to hear your story, clarify goals, and decide whether IRM is the right fit — available virtually when appropriate.

Established patients

Follow-up & care planning

Review progress, adjust your plan, discuss lab results, and coordinate next steps without an office visit.

Assessment

Lab & record review

Discuss prior labs, imaging, and records to help map the pattern and prioritize what information may still be needed.

Ongoing support

Check-ins & coordination

Stay connected between in-person visits for questions, medication adjustments, and care continuity.

What requires in-person

Some care is best done at the clinic.

Regenerative injection therapies, in-office ultrasound, live blood analysis, IV therapy, ozone treatments, and physical exams require an in-person visit at our Garden City clinic.

Your provider will clarify which visits can be virtual and which need to happen in person. Many patients combine telehealth consults with periodic in-clinic treatments. View our clinic location.

How it works

From booking to your virtual visit.

Telehealth at IRM uses the same secure scheduling portal as in-person visits. Here is what to expect from the moment you book.

01

Book online or call

Choose a telehealth visit type in the scheduling portal or call 208-370-2380. New patients often start with a virtual Get to Know You Consult.

02

Complete intake forms

After booking, you receive confirmation and secure intake paperwork by email. Completing forms before your visit helps the conversation start with your story, not paperwork.

03

Join your secure visit

You receive a link to join your visit at the scheduled time. Use a device with camera and microphone — phone, tablet, or computer — on a stable internet connection.

04

Clarify next steps

Your provider discusses fit, priorities, and what may come next — whether that is assessment, records review, an in-clinic visit, or another direction entirely.

Day-of checklist

Set yourself up for a smooth visit.

  • Use a quiet, private space where you can speak freely about your health.
  • Test your camera, microphone, and Wi‑Fi before the appointment time.
  • Have a charged device or power source nearby — visits may run longer when your story is complex.
  • Keep prior labs, imaging reports, or medication lists within reach if you want to reference them.
  • Write down your top questions and what you hope health will make possible again.
  • Plan to be fully present — avoid driving or multitasking during the visit.

If technology fails on the day of your visit, call the office at 208-370-2380. The team can help troubleshoot or reschedule when needed.

Virtual vs in-person

Which format fits your next step?

Good for virtual

Conversation-first visits

  • Get to Know You Consult for new patients
  • Follow-ups and care planning for established patients
  • Lab and record review when imaging is already available
  • Questions about symptoms, goals, and sequencing
  • Medication or supplement adjustments when clinically appropriate
Requires in-person

Hands-on or procedural care

  • Regenerative injection therapies (PRP, prolotherapy, biologics, etc.)
  • In-office ultrasound imaging or guided procedures
  • IV therapy, ozone treatments, and live blood analysis
  • Physical exam findings that require hands-on evaluation
  • Shockwave, rehabilitation sessions, and certain aesthetic procedures

Many patients combine virtual consults and follow-ups with periodic in-clinic treatments. Your provider helps clarify which visits belong in each format. View our Garden City clinic location.

What technology do I need for a telehealth visit?

You will need a device with a camera and microphone (phone, tablet, or computer) and a stable internet connection. Secure video link details are provided after booking.

Do you offer telehealth outside of Idaho?

Telehealth availability depends on licensing and clinical appropriateness. Contact the office at info@idahoregenmed.com to confirm eligibility for your location.

Will I meet with Dr. Walton on a virtual visit?

Many telehealth visits are with Dr. Sara Jo Walton, NMD, or a member of the IRM clinical team, depending on visit type and scheduling. Meet the IRM team.

How long is a virtual consult?

Duration varies based on complexity. Plan enough time for a focused conversation without feeling rushed — especially for a first Get to Know You Consult.

Is telehealth secure?

Visits are conducted through IRM's secure scheduling and telehealth platform. You receive a private link for your appointment — do not share it with others.

What if I need to reschedule?

Contact the office as soon as possible at 208-370-2380 or through your booking confirmation. Rescheduling policies may apply depending on notice given.

Can I switch from virtual to in-person later?

Yes. Many patients begin virtually and schedule in-clinic visits when assessment, ultrasound, injections, or IV therapy are the appropriate next step.
