Get to Know You Consult

Start with a conversation that helps you feel seen.

You do not need to know which therapy you want before you arrive. The Get to Know You Consult is a relationship-first conversation designed to hear your story, understand what you have already tried, clarify what matters most, and decide whether Idaho Regenerative Medicine (IRM) is the right fit for your next step.

What happens first

Bring the whole story.

The first step is about understanding what has been happening, what has been tried, what matters to you, and what you are hoping your health will make possible again.

Story

What brought you in now?

We listen for the pattern: symptoms, timeline, prior care, injuries, labs, imaging, stressors, recovery, daily-life impact, and what has or has not worked.

Goals

What would better health make possible?

Better might mean less pain, more energy, stronger recovery, clearer thinking, improved metabolic health, confidence, mobility, or a plan that finally connects the dots.

Education

How IRM thinks about care

We introduce the framework: Listen & Map, Restore the Terrain, Regenerate Tissue, and Optimize Longevity, so you understand why sequence matters.

Fit

Is this the right next step?

Regenerative and whole-person care work best when expectations, readiness, resources, and partnership are aligned. The consult helps clarify whether moving forward makes sense.

You may be here because

You are ready for someone to look at the whole picture.

Many people find IRM after they have tried the obvious next steps and still do not feel like themselves. Their labs may look normal. Their imaging may not explain the pain. Their symptoms may involve more than one system. They may know something is off, even if they do not know where to begin.

The Get to Know You Consult gives you a place to start without needing to have the answer first. It helps clarify priorities, readiness, practical next steps, and whether your path should include assessment, records review, a regenerative therapy conversation, foundational support, or a different direction entirely.

Format & duration

What the visit feels like.

The Get to Know You Consult is a focused, doctor-led conversation — not a rushed checklist and not a sales pitch. Plan enough time to share your story without feeling hurried.

  • In-person or virtualMany consults happen at our Garden City clinic; virtual is available when appropriate. Learn about telehealth.
  • With Dr. Walton or the IRM teamLed by Dr. Sara Jo Walton, NMD, founder and medical director, with support from the clinical team when scheduling requires.
  • Conversation-firstYour timeline, prior care, symptoms, goals, and what matters most to you come before therapy names or protocols.
  • Fit-focusedThere is no obligation to proceed. The goal is clarity about whether IRM's whole-person, sequence-based approach aligns with your needs.

Prepare if you want

Questions that help the conversation go deeper.

You do not need records or a diagnosis to book. If you want to prepare, these prompts can help you organize your story.

Your story

What has been happening?

When did symptoms begin or change? What makes them better or worse? What treatments, providers, or protocols have you already tried?

Your goals

What would better health make possible?

Less pain, more energy, improved mobility, clearer thinking, better sleep, confidence in your body, or simply feeling like yourself again.

Your concerns

What worries you most?

Fear of surgery, frustration with normal labs, concern about aging, prior bad experiences, or uncertainty about which therapy to trust.

Your readiness

What are you willing to invest?

Time, lifestyle changes, follow-up visits, out-of-pocket care, and partnership in a plan that may unfold over months — not days.

After the consult

You should leave with more clarity.

  • A clearer sense of how IRM thinks about your pattern
  • Honest guidance on whether the practice may be the right fit
  • Understanding of what assessment or information may help next
  • Realistic expectations about sequencing — terrain before repair, when appropriate
  • A recommended next step — or a respectful referral elsewhere if IRM is not the best match

If IRM is a fit, the next step may include a new patient visit, assessment, records review, advanced testing, or a therapy conversation — depending on your story. See the new patient journey →

What this consult can clarify

A better beginning creates a more personal plan.

Do I need to choose a therapy first?

No. Many patients arrive curious about platelet-rich plasma, peptides, hormones, IV therapy, regenerative aesthetics, or assessment. The consult helps clarify what may belong in your plan and what may need to come first.

Is this diagnosis or treatment?

The consult is educational and fit-focused. Diagnosis, treatment recommendations, procedures, and prescriptions require appropriate clinical evaluation and individualized decision-making.

What should I bring?

You do not need to prepare labs, imaging, medication lists, or prior treatment records for this conversation. Bring your story, your top concerns, what prompted you to reach out now, and what you hope your health will make possible again. Detailed medical review happens during the appropriate clinical visit or assessment, if IRM is a good fit.

What happens after the consult?

The next step may be records review, assessment, advanced testing, a regenerative therapy conversation, foundational support, or another direction if IRM is not the best fit. The goal is to leave with more clarity than you came in with.

Begin

The next step is a conversation,
not a commitment.

Start with a focused conversation to share what has been happening, name what you are hoping for, and understand whether IRM may be the right place for your next step.
