Ozone Therapy

Oxygen-focused support for repair, recovery, and terrain.

Ozone therapy is not one treatment at Idaho Regenerative Medicine (IRM). It is a family of oxygen-focused tools that may be used in different ways depending on the person, the goal, and the layer of healing being addressed.

How IRM thinks

Ozone belongs in the sequence, not as a one-size-fits-all answer.

At IRM, ozone may be considered when the body needs support around oxygenation, oxidative signaling, circulation, inflammatory load, immune burden, detoxification capacity, tissue repair, or recovery that feels slower than it should.

The question is not simply, “Do I need ozone?” The better question is, “Which layer of the body is asking for support, and what form of ozone therapy fits that layer?”

Ozone at IRM

A family of therapies, each with a different role.

These options can be discussed individually once the bigger picture is clearer. Not every ozone therapy belongs in every plan.

Blood-based ozone

Major Auto Heme

Major Auto Heme is a blood-based ozone therapy that may be considered when the broader care goal involves oxygenation, circulation, redox balance, immune resilience, or whole-body support.

Readiness and sequence

Ozone in the right order

Ozone is chosen in context. The timing and intensity should match the person’s terrain, drainage capacity, repair goals, and readiness for deeper support.

Light + blood support

Hemealumen with Major Auto Heme

Hemealumen may be paired with Major Auto Heme when light-based blood support is part of the therapeutic sequence. This belongs in the same terrain-focused ozone family.

Deeper whole-body support

EBOO

Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation is a deeper blood-based ozone therapy considered in the context of circulation, oxygenation, inflammatory load, detoxification burden, immune strain, and recovery.

Orthopedic ozone

Prolozone

Prolozone is the orthopedic expression of ozone therapy. It adds ozone to the prolotherapy model when the treatment target involves damaged, irritated, under-recovered, or poorly healing tissue.

Joint-space ozone

Intra-articular ozone

Ozone may also be used inside the joint space when the clinical target is intra-articular and the assessment points to the joint environment as part of the pain or repair pattern.

Bone-targeted ozone

Intra-osseous ozone

In select cases, ozone may be considered in deeper bone-targeted work when bony irregularities, subchondral tissue, or deeper joint patterns are part of the clinical picture.

Personalization

The right form matters

IRM does not treat ozone as a generic wellness add-on. The form, intensity, timing, target, and sequence should match the person’s terrain, goals, and readiness.

What to expect

For patients exploring ozone therapy.

Ozone at IRM takes different forms — blood-based, joint-targeted, or orthopedic. Here is how the process often unfolds once the right form is identified.

Before

Readiness assessment

Your provider evaluates whether ozone fits your goals, health history, drainage capacity, and where it belongs in the care sequence.

During

Procedure varies by type

Major Auto Heme involves a blood draw and reinfusion; Prolozone and joint ozone are localized injections; EBOO is a longer blood-based session.

After

Recovery response

Some patients feel energized; others need rest afterward. Your provider gives guidance based on the ozone form used.

Sequence

Series when appropriate

Ozone may be one session or part of a series, often alongside terrain support, IV Therapy, or orthopedic care.

Patients often ask

“Which ozone therapy is right for me?”

I hear people talk about ozone, but I do not know where to start.

That is normal. Ozone can mean several different therapies. The starting point is understanding whether your main need is whole-body support, blood-based oxygenation support, joint-space support, bone-targeted support, orthopedic repair support, or something else entirely.

Is Prolozone the same thing as EBOO?

No. Prolozone is a localized orthopedic injection approach. EBOO is a blood-based oxygenation and ozonation therapy. They both use ozone, but they answer different clinical questions.

Can ozone be used inside a joint or bone-targeted area?

Yes, when clinically appropriate. At IRM, ozone may be used intra-articular, meaning inside the joint, or intra-osseous, meaning in deeper bone-targeted work, when the assessment supports that target.

Where does Major Auto Heme fit?

Major Auto Heme belongs in the blood-based ozone family. It may be discussed when oxygenation, circulation, redox balance, immune resilience, or whole-body support are part of the broader care plan.

How do I know if I am ready for ozone?

Readiness matters. IRM considers the whole picture, including inflammation, drainage pathways, nutrients, sleep, metabolic health, medications, health history, and the body’s ability to respond.

Is ozone therapy safe?

When performed by trained clinicians with proper equipment, ozone therapies have an established safety profile. Your provider reviews suitability for your health history.

How many ozone sessions will I need?

Some forms are one-time; others involve a series. The plan depends on the ozone type, your goals, and clinical response.

Begin

The right therapy starts with the right map.

Start with a focused conversation about what has been happening, what you want your health to make possible, and whether IRM may be the right place for your next step.
